During this Easter, let us pray for a world far less complicated, a more stable environment than this continued economic and political uncertainty which causes much anxiety for many as little Hope seems evident as a soaring budget deficit, political parties so devisive in their ways and a veil of desperation settling in among people everywhere, let us pray for peace and harmony as We may be headed for global depression and eventual War! The reality is becoming clearer as food prices soar, politicians strive to take every penny from our change and we have - enabled - these self-serving "entrusted" public servants to abuse their position, listing for power and a far reaching government dictating to the individual as more and more become dependent on government.

Bravo Andrew and George and to so many of you, many who are members of the Leadership 100, fellow Hellenes who have worked tirelessly, yet in their appreciation, willing to give back to the community. Mentors to those of us who aspire to truly make a difference to others. In my work to reach out and address global waste water and water purification requirements in a world where some 1 billion fellow humans have little or no access to even a clean glass of water...We must work together and handclasp to those who are indeed less fortunate.

I have indisputable evidence that Pihakis has used his Greek Orthodox Church connection to lure unwittingly a known film Director from Hollywood to act as a 'go between' him the fictitious Greek Trust' and the people who were borrowing money. The individual concerned is absolutely livid that Pihakis abused and used his religious faith for not only his own gain but to inflict the damage he has done on others.

This is so typical of the Church.......hypocritical and blind to the truth. My father is slowly dying of Lewis Body Dementia...., an aggressive form of dementia, his voice is silent. The money this man has stolen from me was largely destined to help my father with his care in his final months. Perhaps someone would kindly pass this on to the Priest!. Pihakis has scammed all his life and will continue to do so until his dying breath. By the way Ted's info about his court case is correct and I have provided more details below in answer to RJ. I am chasing the US Justice Department constantly to ensure this man DOES NOT elude justice.

His trial date is set for July 31st, however he was due in court before this date on 3 separate occasions to change his plea to guilty, each time it this has been cancelled and re-scheduled. As it stands the trial date stated above remains unless he does in fact appear in court and change his plea.

It is refreshing to read about John Kalafatis, with his highly successful Skyline
Restoration organization. His comment that austerity measures will not help with the economic and financial recovery of Greece has the ring of truth. It also occurs to me that one way to help to restore Greece's finances, might be to locate the Olympic Games permanently in Greece; each participating country paying to particiapte. This would be much cheaper for all participating countries, or cities; and could help not only to restore Greece's finances; but might also help to restore the true, original, spirit of the Olympic Games, which began not only as a quadrennial period of peace between periodically warring cities; but the Games were also part of a religious festival, honouring the gods, in which the ancient Greeks also admired the eurythmics, or beauty in motion of the athletes

The crook was claiming that his wife is sick w/cancer. Now he is claiming that he recently had a stroke and has severe dimentia.
Is this church in need of his dirty money??
Shame on the parish. They still have pictures of him on the church website. I notified the Priest a year ago. A priest with no...... And giving lip service to parishoners. The crook is using his status with the AHEPA and The Greek Orthodox Church to scam people. Please wake up !!
